Holt, will participate in a panel at the 2018 Penn State Innovation Awards Ceremony, which will be held on October 17, 2018. The event will take place from 5:00pm – 8:30pm ET at the University Conference Center in Hummelstown, Pa.

“I’m thrilled to once again be speaking at my alma mater on the important topic of innovations in healthcare. The healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing industries worldwide – it is expected to add approximately 2.4 million new jobs by 2026[1]. One of the driving forces behind this influx in healthcare jobs is the rapid growth of the aging population. As the country ages, the healthcare industry not only needs more workers, but it needs new tools in order to provide better care to more people. That’s where technology comes in,” said Holt, a 2001 graduate of the Penn State College Of Engineering. “For example, at K4Connect, we develop solutions specifically designed for older adults that helps monitor their health and wellness with cutting-edge fitness trackers, bed sensors and blood pressure cuffs. It provides caregivers with rich analytics that can track patterns to address potential health concerns.”

Prior to joining K4Connect, Holt was a member of the founding executive team at Startup America Partnership, a public-private partnership with the White House to accelerate entrepreneurship in the United States. Holt began his career at IBM where he served in various executive leadership roles. Holt received a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business where he was named a Fuqua Scholar.
