Presentation to highlight how senior living communities can leverage smart technology, social platforms, and virtual reality to combat social isolation
RALEIGH, N.C., (November 8, 2017) — K4Connect, a mission-centered technology company creating solutions that serve and empower older adults and individuals living with disabilities, today announced that its Co-Founder, CEO and Chief Client Advocate Scott Moody will be speaking at the Aging2.0 OPTIMIZE Conference in San Francisco, taking place from November 14-15, 2017. Moody’s breakout session, “Leveraging Connected Devices, Social Platforms and Virtual Reality to Combat Social Isolation,” will be held on Wednesday, November 15th, at 11:00am PDT.
Moody will co-present alongside Terri Novak, Chief Operating Officer of Kisco Senior Living, where K4Connect has implemented its flagship product, K4Community, in several Kisco Senior Living communities. K4Community, built specifically for the residents, staff and operators of senior living communities, is an application that integrates home automation, connected health and social engagement features to promote better, more independent lives for residents. For community operators, K4Community enables the best in care and hospitality with value-added amenities, while increasing revenues and lowering costs.
“One key attribute of our mission at K4Connect is to create a more connected life for older adults and those people living with disabilities,” said Moody. “Events like Aging2.0 provide an atmosphere where we can discuss important topics that affect this demographic, and help foster important conversations with other thought leaders and our peers.”
The session will dig into one of K4Connect’s key focus areas and discuss how leading senior care providers are leveraging technology solutions including “connected-life” and social engagement capabilities to help address loneliness, social isolation and ultimately improve connectivity and communication. The session will provide real world examples and operator insights into technology requirements; process best practices, training requirements and will explore using data to improve value creation and differentiation.
