Raleigh-Based Company Serves Thousands of Older Adults Across the U.S. with Connected Tech
WHAT: Raleigh-based K4Connect, a mission-centered technology company, will be present at LeadingAge North Carolina and demoing its flagship product, K4Community.
WHEN: Monday, May 14th and Tuesday, May 15th, 2018
WHERE: The Omni Grove Park Inn, 290 Macon Ave, Asheville, NC 28804; K4Connect will be located at Booth #3
WHY: According to a new report from the U.S. Census Bureau, for the first time in the U.S., the population of older adults will outnumber the 18 and under population. Unfortunately, as the older population gets larger (by 2035, there will be 78M people age 65+), the number of caregivers available to take care of this population is declining.
Technology – specifically advanced IoT tech – can make a tremendous difference in helping seniors remain independent and caregivers better serve those who need it.
K4Connect’s flagship product, K4Community, seamlessly integrates smart home automation, connected health and social engagement, enabling older adults to fully manage multiple aspects of their lives, from adjusting their thermostat and lighting, to managing their health, to connecting with friends and family – all via an easy to use app optimized for older adults.
ABOUT: K4Connect has expanded nationwide to touch thousands of senior living residents, their families, and staff since the introduction of its first product, K4Community, in early 2017. Looking to serve seniors directly, K4Connect is currently developing a direct to consumer product, K4Home, which will soon be piloted in three cities across the U.S.
